How I was challenged:
- Speaking in Spanish was something that made me uncomfortable
- I was surrounded with kids from the other team I didn't know
- I didn't participate because I didn't like the way I sounded which effected my learning
- Being made fun for mispronunciation
- Being able to speak the language not only affected me on an educational level but personal level
- Faced with stereo types by kids "You're Mexican, shouldn't you know?"
- Having a funny accent from not knowing or practicing or participating
- Being one of the only one in my family that didn't know Spanish
